Idiom:
at times, at all times

These two expressions can be very confusing for students because they look very similar, but they have different meanings.

At times is very common in both daily conversation and the TOEIC test. It means sometimes.
意味：時々

On the whole Jane enjoys her job, but at times she gets frustrated and wants to quit.
意味：全体としてジェーンは仕事を楽しんでいるが、時々苛立ちを感じて辞めたいと思う。

The weather in the area is generally pleasant, but it can get very cold and windy at times.
意味：全国的に天気はひろく晴れいるが時々非常に冷たい強風になることもある。

At all times is used in formal announcements or warnings. It means always.
意味：いつも、常に

A safety helmet must be worn on the construction site at all times.
意味：ヘルメットは常に工事現場で着用しなければいけない。


(On a ride at an amusement park)
Please keep your arms and legs inside the carriage at all times.
意味：いつも腕や足を乗り物の中にある状態にしてください。
