2. We only use had better if there is a possibility of something bad happening.

You had better put your seat belt on! There's a policeman over there!

意味：シートベルトをした方がいいよ！警察が向こうにいる。

If you don't, you might get a fine.
もし、そうしないと、罰金をとられるかもしれない。

It looks like rain. You had better take an umbrella.

意味：雨のようだね。傘を持って行った方がいいよ。

If you don't, you might get wet.
もし、そうしないと、雨で濡れるかもしれない。

We don't use had better when nothing bad will happen;
It's a great movie! You should see it!
意味：すごい映画だよ。見るべきだよ。

But nothing bad will happen if you don't, so we cannot use had better here.
